Learn to use data storage websites to report identified violations. No previous knowledge of erosion and sediment control is required to participate.

Program History

Led by Mobile Baykeeper, five environmental organizations are partners in MWW, including Alabama Rivers Alliance, Cahaba Riverkeeper, Choctawhatchee Riverkeeper, and Hurricane Creekkeeper.  Although the program has only been in action for one year, these partners have already trained over 100 citizen volunteers to monitor construction sites and protect their waterways.

Similar programs conducted in North Carolina and Georgia have trained hundreds of citizens, local officials, developers and engineers.

Waterkeeper Alliance

All participating Alabama waterkeepers are members of the global Waterkeeper Alliance.
