This is how I found the ECU Dental School construction site the day of a rainstorm. After submitting my MWW site report card to the regional Division of Land Resources, the problem was addressed and fixed within the week. As you can see in the photo, a good amount of sediment laden water was entering a stream, tributary to the Tar River. There was no ground cover, little to no stone, no check dams, and the silt fences were been used in an incorrect manner. Off to the right of the photo, which you can't see, is an outlet from the larger site discharging muddy water.
