July 9, 16, 23, & 30, 2008

July 15 & 22; August 5 & 9, 2008

The Cape Fear Riverkeeper and Cape Fear River Watch will begin their 4-session training schedule on July 15, 2008.  The first three meetings will be held at the Cape Fear River Watch office (617 Surrey Street, Wilmington) from 6-9pm, and the last training on August 9th will be a construction site tour starting at 10 am.  Please contact Program Director Joe Abbate (910-762-5606; joe@cfrw.us) for more information.

July 29, 2008

Training #7 in the Raleigh area will be held on July 29, 2008 from 7-9 pm at the Wake County Commons Building (click here for directions).  Charlotte inspector, Jay Wilson, will be traveling to Raleigh to give a great presentation on BMP's, site maintenance, and much more.  This refresher training on BMP essentials will be very helpful as it will provide information on the root problems of construction site activity and give volunteers more of an idea of what to look for while monitoring sites.

Please feel free to contact Britt Ritter at 919-856-1180 or britt@muddywaterwatch.org for more information.

“When things get so far wrong as to attract their notice, the citizens, when well informed, can be relied upon to set them right.”
